
Paul McVoy
Head of Secondary
Paul McEvoy is a highly experienced and dynamic educational leader with over a decade of senior leadership experience across all key areas of school life, including teaching and learning, behaviour, safeguarding, and attendance. He has served as Principal of a large secondary school in the UK, where he was recognised as one of the country’s youngest Principals. Under his leadership, the school—previously rated ‘Inadequate’—successfully maintained a ‘Good’ Ofsted rating, reflecting his ability to drive sustained school improvement.
Paul has held senior roles within one of the UK’s largest Multi-Academy Trusts, where his strategic leadership contributed to excellent academic progress for pupils. A qualified Physical Education teacher, he holds a master’s degree in teaching and Learning, demonstrating his commitment to evidence-informed practice and professional excellence.
Outside of education, Paul has worked as an academy goalkeeper coach for Liverpool Football Club, combining his passion for sport with youth development. His dedication to community service was also recognised when he was selected to carry the Olympic Torch, an honour awarded for his outstanding charitable fundraising efforts.
Paul is married and a proud father of two daughters. His personal commitment to education is deeply rooted in his desire to provide the very best for all pupils at GEMS Founders School – Dubai South, just as he would for his own children. He is passionate about creating a high-performing, inclusive, and nurturing environment where every student can thrive.
