Chelsey Seymour is an accomplished educator with a career spanning the United Kingdom and Dubai, marked by her unwavering dedication to excellence in teaching and learning. Born and raised in England, Chelsey pursued her passion for theatre at the prestigious Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, where she combined her love for performance with a commitment to Applied Theatre and education. Her drive to use theatre as a tool for empowerment and change has shaped her impactful career.

Chelsey began her teaching journey at Langley Grammar School, Berkshire, as a Drama Teacher. By her second year, she was entrusted with the opportunity to establish a brand-new drama department at an academy school, where she became Head of Drama in her third year. Under her leadership, she created a thriving and highly subscribed drama program, offering GCSE, A-Level, and a robust extracurricular program. One of Chelsey’s proudest achievements was directing students in Romeo and Juliet for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II during the Jubilee celebrations. This remarkable opportunity highlighted her exceptional ability to inspire students through Shakespeare’s works, earning her invitations to the House of Commons and House of Lords to celebrate the "invaluable impact" of her work on young people’s lives.

Chelsey’s passion for professional growth led her to a leadership role as Initial Teacher Training Coordinator, where she designed and implemented programs to mentor PGCE and ECT colleagues, helping them develop into outstanding practitioners. In 2021, Chelsey moved to Dubai, joining GEMS Founders School as an Advanced Skills Teacher. She played a pivotal role in driving improvements in teaching and learning, overseeing the Early Career Framework, and progressing to Assistant Head Teacher with a whole-school focus on teaching and learning. As Cluster Professional Development Lead within the GEMS network, she collaborates with teams to nurture future leaders and continually enhance professional development opportunities.
