Madeline Marshall

Head of House

Madeline Marshall is thrilled to serve as Head of House at GFD, bringing her passion for student development and her expertise as a Humanities teacher to nurture a supportive and engaging school community. Originally from England, Madeline grew up experiencing the House system firsthand, which inspired her lifelong commitment to fostering a sense of belonging, teamwork, and school spirit.

With extensive experience teaching Humanities at KS3 and KS4, she is dedicated to supporting students academically while also encouraging their personal growth, resilience, and leadership skills. Her approach focuses on creating an inclusive environment where every student feels valued, motivated, and empowered to achieve their best.

As Head of House, Madeline works closely with students, parents, and staff to cultivate a vibrant house culture that celebrates achievements, promotes teamwork, and builds strong pastoral support. She is passionate about implementing initiatives that enhance student wellbeing, encourage participation, and develop leadership qualities across the school community.

Outside of school, Madeline enjoys reading widely, running, and spending time with family and friends. She is excited to continue inspiring and guiding students, helping them flourish both academically and personally as part of the House community.
