Caitlin Gallagher

Caitlin Gallagher is thrilled to be the Literacy Lead at GFD where she brings her deep passion for literacy and her expertise as an English teacher to inspire a love of reading and writing across the school community. Originally from Scotland, Caitlin grew up surrounded by the rich literary heritage of her homeland, which sparked her lifelong love for storytelling and learning.

With years of experience as an English teacher, she is dedicated to fostering strong literacy skills in her students and empowering them to discover the transformative power of language. Her innovative approach to teaching focuses on engaging, creative strategies that make reading and writing accessible and enjoyable for all learners.

As Literacy Lead, Caitlin works collaboratively with students, parents, and staff to develop a whole-school culture of literacy. She is passionate about implementing initiatives that celebrate reading, promote critical thinking, and enhance communication skills, helping students develop as confident and reflective learners.

Outside the classroom, Caitlin enjoys exploring new books, writing creatively, and sharing her love of literature with her family and friends. She is excited to continue inspiring a love for literacy at GFD and making a meaningful impact on the educational journeys of her students.
