Arabic and Islamic Cluster Lead -MB Cluster

Mohamed Labib is an experienced Arabic and Islamic educator who has had the privilege of working across GEMS Education. He graduated in 2006 from Cairo University with a degree in Arabic Language and Islamic Education. Throughout his career, he has taught a wide range of subjects, including Arabic A, Arabic B, Islamic Studies, and Social Studies.

His professional journey gained significant momentum when he became the Coordinator of Arabic at The Winchester School (WIN), a position he held for five years. In this role, he not only led the Arabic department but also worked closely with various teams, which eventually led him into a coaching role across GEMS schools. As a coach, he focused on supporting teachers and department heads by enhancing their teaching practices, developing curricula, and improving the overall quality of education. He has worked with several schools, including WIN, WPS, WSD, and TWS, contributing to the strengthening of Arabic and Islamic education programs and supporting improvements in inspection outcomes.

Currently, Mohamed leads a cluster of eight schools, where he has been working closely with Arabic and Islamic teams for the past three years and continues to do so. This role enables him to provide continuous support, drive educational improvements, and ensure the success and consistency of the Arabic and Islamic curriculum across the schools.
In addition, he has collaborated with the TELLAL Institute in developing professional development programs for Arabic and Islamic educators across GEMS. This work has been particularly rewarding, as it has helped teachers enhance their skills and positively impact student learning and achievement.
