Gurpreet Dhaliwal
Senior Assistant Principal
Gurpreet Dhaliwal is originally from the South East of England. She graduated from Queen Mary University of London with a BSc in Geography with Business Management before following her passion for education and completing a PGCE in Secondary Geography at Durham University.
Gurpreet began her journey with the GEMS Founders family in 2017, spending six successful years at GEMS Founders School - Dubai before joining GEMS Founders School - Al Mizhar. Throughout her nine years within the Founders network, she has held a variety of senior leadership positions, gaining extensive experience in school improvement, teaching and learning, and student achievement. She is delighted to continue her Founders journey as Senior Assistant Principal at GEMS Founders School - Dubai South.

Outside of school, Gurpreet is a passionate traveller and keen walker who enjoys spending quality time with her family and her dog. Her love of exploring new places and connecting with people from different cultures has strengthened her appreciation of diverse perspectives. These experiences continue to reinforce her belief in creating inclusive environments where every individual feels valued, develops a strong sense of belonging, and is empowered to thrive.
