Zoe Allinson

Head of Key Stage 2

Zoe is proud to serve as the Head of Key Stage 2 at GFD. Having spent the majority of her teaching career within this phase, Zoe brings a deep understanding of the KS2 curriculum and the unique academic and pastoral needs of older primary learners. She is passionate about creating a culture of high expectations where every child is challenged, supported, and celebrated for their individual progress.

Zoe works closely with teachers across the phase to ensure consistency and excellence in teaching and learning, with a strong focus on developing pupils’ independence, resilience, and readiness for their transition to secondary school. She is also dedicated to supporting a smooth and successful transition from Key Stage 1 into Key Stage 2, ensuring continuity in learning and helping pupils feel confident as they take on new challenges.

In her role, Zoe values the importance of building strong, positive relationships with parents and the wider school community. She believes that genuine collaboration between home and school is key to helping every child thrive.

Through her leadership, Zoe aims to ensure that the school’s mission—to help every child grow, flourish, and discover their potential—is lived out daily in KS2. She strives to build a phase where both staff and students feel inspired, valued, and confident to achieve their very best.
